Expert Witness Services

Allan Winthrop has more than 20 years of experience in writing reports for legal proceedings.

In addition to his psychology training, he also has the Common Professional Exam / Post-graduate Diploma in Law from Northumbria University School of Law.

He is a Diplomate of both the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and National Centre for Crisis Management in the USA. He is also a Board Certified Expert in both Traumatic Stress and Forensic Traumatology.

Allan is recognised here in the UK as a 1st Tier Expert Witness with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He is also listed in the British Psychological Society Directory of Expert Witnesses. 

Increasingly, most work undertaken currently (though not all) is as a Single joint Expert.

Areas of work undertaken include, adult mental health assessment, personal injury assessment, negligence and mental capacity assessment.

Assessments are routinely undertaken at our Castle Eden office but other venues may be agreed. Assessments within the Prison environment are also undertaken.

Assessment appointments are normally provided within 14 days of instuction.
